I am an independent videographer and camera operator with practical experience in short-form fiction, promotional videos, and behind-the-scenes (BTS) event coverage. My filmmaking approach is heavily focused on collaboration, visual rhythm, and maximizing the potential of available gear to deliver high-quality, cinematic results.
Key Projects & Formats
Short Films & Narrative Fiction (Short Meter): Operated as the primary camera operator on indie short films. Collaborated closely with directors to translate storyboards into compelling visual compositions, managing camera movement, framing, and on-set lighting setups.
Commercial & Promotional Content: Shot high-energy promo videos and social media content (Reels/Shorts) designed to capture attention instantly. Experienced in adapting pacing and framing for both horizontal and vertical formats.
Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) & Documentaries: Captured the raw, fast-paced energy of creative teams at work, producing engaging mini-documentaries and wrap-videos that highlight team synergy and project development.
Technical Skills & On-Set Equipment
Camera Systems: Proficient in operating hybrid mirrorless systems widely used in the indie industry, including the Sony Alpha series (A7SIII / A7IV) and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras (BMPCC 4K/6K).
Optics & Rigging: Experienced with both sharp native lenses and vintage cine-modified glass. Skilled in pulling manual focus and operating handheld rigs, gimbals (DJI Ronin series), and basic camera slider setups for smooth, dynamic movement.
Lighting & Audio: Hands-on experience setting up continuous LED lighting (Aputure/Godox) using softboxes and modifiers to control shadows, as well as capturing clean ambient and dialogue audio using directional shotgun mics and wireless lavaliers.
Teamwork & Workflow
Pre-Production: Active participant in location scouting, tech-recces, and blocking out scenes before the shoot days to ensure maximum efficiency on set.
Production Crew Collaboration: Proven track record of working efficiently within a tight-knit crew, maintaining clear communication with the director, gaffer, and sound recordist under tight schedules.Post-Production Basics: Solid understanding of editing workflows, including organizing multi-camera footage, pacing edits to sound design, and applying color grading (LUTs and basic color correction) to match the intended mood of the project.
